Rachel from Sew Ambitious Blog (I follow her because I think she is very talented and creative) surprised me with an award: Beautiful Blogger Award

Thank you! I'll treasure it!
I have to say 10 things about me:
1 - I have a full time profession so my craft is an hobby and a way to implement the 3-R.
2 - I have a daughter, almost four years now, so almost everything I do is for her (as entertainment or as a main client of the final product).
3 - I learned knitting and crochet from my mother.
4 - I learned dressmaking and embroidery with 2 aunts and a great-aunt.
5 – I got pregnant very easily and so I often call my daughter little bunny.
6 - for quite some time now we intend to give her a brother or sister but, as has not happened yet, I call it, the possible being, panda.
7 - When I'm not working with my hands, I am reading.
8 – Once upon a time I used to read one or two books a week, now the average is one per month.
9 - I found Robert Jordan’ saga, “Wheel of Time", recently. The first 4 books I read them in Portuguese, but there is no one translated so I bought number 5 in English. I do not know if my English is good enough, if so I still have eight more books to go.
10 - Surf on the Internet, including reading the blogs that I am a follower, has taught me, and give me great fun and relax

E vou passar esta nomeação a:
So I will pass this award to:

1- Susana @ Pretycrafty
2- Catarina @ As minhas costuras
3 - Stefi @ Just chic
4- Elizabeth @ Twelve crafts till christmas
5- LJ @ Drink and dress
6- Maya @ Little treasures
7- Froken elsa virkblogg
8- Yoonie-at-home
9- Jessie @ Another chapter of my life...sewing
10- Thumbly

Very busy!!

Ainda não me fui embora!
I have not gone, yet! But, the truth is that I’ve been short of time!
Care, from obsessively stitching blog a series of posts about quilting, teaching to prepare a quilt from the beginning to end. I followed the series closely, because I never had done a quilt and since had this wip since January!
She challenged her readers to finished a quilt until the end of this month. Taking into account that hot weather suddenly arrived and I really need a summer blanket for the bed of little Papgena, and I had everything ready and just needed to sew, I decided to accept the challenge. I know I will not finish before the end of the month, one must be realistic, but pressure is good because it forces me to focus on the goal! I have been happy as a child, with my sewing machine, I’m no longer afraid of it! I even discovered that it is backstitch function, which makes it easier to trim!

I also have been dismantling jeans for a new project that will have to be ready at the end of June!

Tenho acompanhado as aventuras da Marisa no blog New Dress a Day e perguntava a mim própria quão fácil seria fazer uma coisas dessas.
Before going to the weekend I leave you my first experience in clothing refashion. I have been follow Marisa’s adventures in New Dress a Day blog and wondered to myself how easy it would be make one of those things. And unwittingly, the opportunity to experience it emerged: I bought this sweater that after all, didn’t fit right in the chest (I tend to forget that after the pregnancy, it is not exactly the same size!).
I found this top in a super sale (I think that did not cost 1 euro) and decided to alter the sweater's neckline:

It is far from perfect but was actually a pretty fun experience!!

Bom fim-de-semana.
Have a nice weekend. I hope next week I will be able to show pictures of my quilt in an advanced state of 'almost finished'!

Noticias do meu Jardim/News from my garden

Ela parece gostar!!!

My husband decided to make a new home for our turtle.
With planks of wood covered with a durable plastic, he made sort of marsh, with a ramp so could climb to its ‘esplanade’'! He even added a kind of umbrella for shadow!
I think the turtle like it!

Últimos Trabalhos/Last Works

Lately, it seems that time runs in front of me! I needed a day with 36 hours, maybe than I could do all that I have to do!

And finally, I decided to do a fun project for me and my daughter:

Tendo-me inspirado e seguido estas instruções do site Kaboose.
Todos muito simples mas, muito divertidos!
